Old updates

Hey, I didn't want my index page to be too cluttered, so the only option was to clear off some of the old updates, but, you know, I'm just so damn funny, I couldn't find the heart to delete my posts and lose them forever, so here they are all comprised on this page!

I didn't want this page to take forever to load, so I archived my updates into more pages, 4 months to each page. Huzzah! for shorter loading times!

Updates from August 2002 to December 2002 / Updates from January 2003 to April 2003 / Updates from May 2003 to September 2003

Above and below the text of this message are the header graphics of two out of the eight teams in the, recently defunct, Women's United Soccer Association. The San Diego Spirit, and the Philadelphia Charge. This league was the direct impact of the Women's World Cup 1999. The United States Women's National Soccer Team captured the cup as well as the attention of millions of North Americans and had them take a look at the state of female athletics. It was an under-reported, underrated, and underestimated institution that deserved it's due. WUSA represented the several decade long struggle to finally give female athletes the respect and attention they deserved. It represented long awaited recognition. There are reports of WUSA reforming, but most likely nothing will emerge until 2004. With the league folding, it has set the state of not only female soccer, but the entire institution of female athletics back by at least 4 years. It breaks my fucking heart to know that all the recognition and respect gained in 1999 was almost all for nothing, because it's being taken away from us again.
